Tie & dye is a pattern of color made by the intricate art of preventing the dye from reaching some areas of the fabric while dyeing the other areas. Folding, tying, stitching, crumpling or otherwise preparing the fabric inhibits the flow of the dye to the intended areas. With experience, the end result can be predicted and controlled to some extent. However, amazement is the best part of it that makes tie-dye an exciting and interesting art form.
